| HOOAH!!!! Radio News |
| April 12, 2006 (NEW) | | | Dom was invited to meet some of the injured soldiers that have been injuried in Iraq and Afganistan at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. | | | From the Desk of Dom: I have always been one that has felt Pride for my fellow Armed Forces Brothers and Sisters. But, my visit to Walter Reed Hospital and the Mologne House was the most heart felt moment based around my military service and career I have ever had in my life. I will never forget my drive to Walter Reed mentally with different thoughts going threw my head about what would my reaction be once I got to see and meet the injuried soldiers. Once arriving it was something totally different then I had even imagined. Every soldier male or female held their head high with pride, and presented themself as not only Strong Soldiers but very Proud Americans. When I went to the Mologne House and was invited to sit down with a bunch of soldiers, it was like I was back in the military just chillin' with my fellow soldiers, talking trash, and crack wise comments back and forth. I truly want to thank Mr. Anderson for allowing myself and HOOAH!!!! Radio the opportunity to share our support for the Soldiers there at Walter Reed Hospital - definetly a moment I will always have CLOSE TO MY HEART!! - Dom | | | | | | Entrance to front of Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. Left to Right is SPC Chaisson, PVT VanAntwerp (from Hawaii), Dom (Hooah Radio - Station Owner), SGT Buyas ( Washinton State, Married with 3 young boys), SPC Essig (Northern California). SGT Buyas is holding a Patriotic Pillow from the Patriotic Pillow Project he received when arriving at Walter Reed Hospital. NOTE: One moment that I want to share with everyone, when we were getting ready to take this picture SGT Buyas (wheelchair) told the picture taker to make sure his feet were in the picture. These soldiers aren't dead nor are they completely depressed by what has happened to them, I saw nothing but PRIDE, COURAGE, SACRIFICE, and LOYALTY from these Brave Soldiers. And I am very honored with the PRIDE these fellow brothers showed during my visit. | |
