A Little About DJ Bette:
I was born on a dark, cold early Sunday morning... okay I won't go there!
I am married, have 2 grown sons, Ken is in the Army and deployed and
Steven is an IT Technician at Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford,
NY.
I have spent 25 years teaching Special Education and Religious Education
Classes. I hold a Food Service Sanitation Certificate and ran a school
kitchen (with 3 cooks). I am a trained Pyrotech, holding a license/certification
and have been involved with major Firework shows in New York, New
Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut since the early 80's. I am a
Ham Radio Operator, Tech Class (N2NZF), a Notary Public for the State
of New York. I was an FM Radio DeeJay in the 80's and I am also a
mobile DeeJay. I have been involved with Internet Radio since 1999.
I have been an interviewer and have connections with various artists,
agents and managements (not including my own family past and present
in the music industry) for many years. I am excited and proud to have
the pleasure of bringing my knowledge and expertise to HOOAH!!!! Radio
as a volunteer. There is nothing and no one more important then those
that put their lives on the line for us... our Troops. I also work
per de-um as a AD (Assistant Director) at Instructional Television
for the Archdiocese of NY and also as a back stage hand (dresser/props)
for the Westchester Broadway Theatre. But my main directive, interest
and 'job' is HOOAH!!!! Radio.
We have the BEST DJ'S around because they want to show their support
for our Troops, Veterans and their Families. Join the fun at HOOAH!!!!
Radio and Lock It In... you never know what to expect! I have had
the pleasure of bringing live on-air 3 Doors Down, Drowning Pool,
Dropkick Murphys, Rick Springfield, Tony Orlando, Chubby Checker,
Gary Puckett, D.K. Davis, Ron Dante, Gary Lewis, Cass Dillon, the
late Delaney Bramlett (of Delaney and Bonnie and Friends) and that's
just a few of our special guests! Not to mention the surprise call
in from Lee Greenwood!
Check the DJ schedule on the website for all the awesome shows available
to our Troops, Veterans, their Families and our Listeners... we are
here 24/7 365 to salute and show support together.
