How
Do I Tune-In or Listen FAQ
|
Q: What Players are supported? |
| A:
HOOAH!!!! Radio supports just about any player that supports streaming
audio. If for some reason you don't see you favorite player listed
please contact us and let us know which player you use. |
|
| Q:
I don't have a player listed what can I do? |
| A:
Please visit the Media Player Logos (above High & Low) they are
linked to each Media Players homepage. |
|
| Q:
Which is better for me, Low (mono 24k) or High (stereo 56k)? |
| A:
Well connection to the Low (Mono 24k) is best if you are a dial-up
user and a connection to High (Stereo 56k) is best if you are a broadband
user such as DSL, ISDN, Cable or Other. |
|
| Q:
Okay I have a player but how do I tune in? |
| A:
Your choices are High (56k Stereo) and Low (Mono 24k). Look for your
players name listed below the type of stream you want to listen to
and then again below the appropriate choice of Low or High. |
|
| Q:
When I click to tune in my player buffers over and over. What causes
this? |
|
|
A:
If a player buffers repeatedly its generally because of a lack of
bandwidth or temporary issues with the connection or the DJs connection.
Try listening on Low (Mono 24k).

|
| Q:
I'm not sure which player to use or cannot install additional software
on this computer. What can I do? |
| A:
Try using the Media Player link because most computers have Windows
Media Player. |
|
| Q:
My Windows Media Player buffers then stops without playing. "Media
Player for the Net" does the same thing. Why does it do that? |
| A:
Media Player does this when its an older version than 9.0 quite frequently.
Please visit Microsoft and update you Media Player to version 9.0
or 10. |
|
| Q:
I selected my player and nothing happened. What's wrong? |
| A:
HOOAH!!!! Radio uses some popup scripts to start your player. Disable
your popup blocker or allow popups for the site. Please note that
HOOAH!!!! Radio has never had popup ad support nor will it ever use
popup advertising. So allowing popups on the HOOAH!!!! Radio site
is not a security risk. |
